Your role.
Your work will include, but not be limited to:
Acting as an unbiased technology advisor and subject matter expert (SME), facilitating strategy-level technology projects for digital solutions such as ERP, HR & Payroll, CRM and Construction Management, with a primary focus in construction & specialty contractor verticals. Guide clients through digital transformation, business process improvement and systems optimization or modernization assessments, selections, procurement and implementation. Create and deliver client deliverables (e.g. project proposals, business case and options analyses, digital roadmaps, project plans, status reports). Learning and applying Plante Moran’s proprietary business technology consulting methodologies and tools, as well as contributing to continuous improvement efforts. Developing, applying and advancing business acumen and subject matter expertise in end-to-end enterprise technology lifecycle, with emphasis in construction and field service companies. Training, developing and supervising other staff, including but not limited to syndication of industry expertise and technology, processes and change management experience. Demonstrating a passion and commitment to construction industry optimization of technology and creating value for firm and client through research, thought leadership, professional networking, and obtainment of certifications (e.g. PMP, technology certifications). Working with a team in executing service unit business development strategies, as well as personal practice development result measures. Supporting or leading marketing, lead generation, project scoping and budgeting, proposal development and delivery and other opportunity identification, tracking and management. Performing market development and lead generation activities (e.g. attendance and/or speaking opportunities at industry events, personal network development, creating and expanding relationships with internal and extern referral sources, prospects and clients).The qualifications.
Bachelor’s Degree in a Management Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management or related field experience is required. 4-8 years of recent or current technology experience is required with strong preference toward enterprise software diligence and implementation consulting experience in construction or related industries. PMP certification or equivalent experience highly preferred. Strong verbal and written business communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate to a diverse audience ranging from technical professionals to C-level executives/leaders. Ability to efficiently manage multiple, concurrent client projects and practice activity needs. Project management competencies, with the ability to work independently and within a team. Travel volume can be frequent (over 50% overnight at times) and is variable dependent on active project needs
