Team Overview

Under the leadership of the Sr Director, Contractor & Technical Services, the Manager, Commercial Claims will be responsible to lead the day to day management of our commercial claims team and processes. This position is based in our Corporate Headquarters in Parsippany, NJ.

Summary

The Commercial Claims Manager will serve as a resource for the team by providing guidance and advice related to ongoing claim resolution, leveraging these opportunities to enhance skills and empower the team for growth. This role will proactively assess operational efficiencies to continually improve both internal and external Commercial customer experiences. Additionally, the Manager must demonstrate strong strategic thinking skills to effectively evaluate situations and deliver sound business judgments and resolutions.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Provide day to day oversight and performance management of the commercial claims team, consisting of 1 supervisor and a team based in NJ.Partner with internal and external customers to identify, recommend, and implement enhancements to the current customer experience.Find and drive efficiencies in our processes and eliminate non-value added work to allow the team to provide a higher level of service and proactively communicate with customers.Generate reports and data to gather insights into day to day operations of the team/areas and identify opportunities for improvement.Serve as a subject matter expert of claims and technical roofing application to provide recommendations for appropriate resolution of claims, including escalated issues.Build and maintain strategic partnerships, and effectively communicate with GAF's key customers and other internal partners, including, without limitation, the Sales, Field Services, and Legal teams.Execute strategies and solutions that will achieve the company’s strategic goals and objectives.Actively participate in large cross functional initiatives.Provide cross-functional support for Sales Operations related activities associated with the GAF commercial journey.Build a team that embodies the corporate culture and values.Ensure ongoing training and development of the team to provide individual professional growth and succession planning.Possess knowledge of GAF’s commercial products, systems, and applications.Understand market trends and changing performance requirements within the Commercial roofing business.

Under This Roof, We Require

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college institution is preferred.5+ years of related work experienceHS Diploma/GEDTechnical knowledge of general exterior construction materials is a plus.Commercial field construction experience is a plus.Participation/Membership in leading industry organizations (IIBEC, CSI, etc.) a plus. Future participation is expected.
