We are currently looking for a Commercial Combined Underwriter to work in our busy Charity, faith and not for profit team at Victor. This role can be based at either our Witham, London or Leeds office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

The successful candidate will carry out a wide range of underwriting activities relating to authorised products. In addition, you will also be responsible for providing a superior customer service and delivering the required product profitability.

Act within underwriting authorityHave an in-depth knowledge of relevant class/ product specialismsKeep pace with market trends and developments for authorised industry segmentsBuild strong relationships with broking and capacity partnersBuild strong relationship with internal stakeholdersBe responsible for own personal technical and skill set progressionComplete project work as per briefs and provide appropriate feedback as to projects

What you need to have:

Good understanding of the commercial insurance marketAt least 3 -5 years commercial underwriting experienceHave held underwriting authority for chosen class of business previouslyKnowledge of the in-scope product and trade rangeExperience of working in teams and successful record of delivering resultsGood organisational skills to ensure that company processes and procedures are maintainedStrong customer service ethos
