Job Title: Commercial Construction Superintendent
Job Description
We are seeking a qualified and ambitious superintendent/project manager to oversee the rollout for a large retail client. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial interior and kitchen fit-outs or ground-up construction projects.
Responsibilities
+ Manage RFI's and change orders effectively.
+ Read and interpret civil drawings accurately.
+ Coordinate subcontractors to ensure project timelines are met.
+ Prepare and maintain 2-week lookahead schedules.
+ Ensure site compliance with all regulations and standards.
+ Collaborate with project executives and senior project managers to ensure continuous progress.
Essential Skills
+ Strong background in commercial fit-outs or retail projects.
+ Ability to read and interpret civil drawings.
+ Experience managing projects ranging from $5 to $20 million.
+ Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
+ Proficiency in construction supervision and Procore software.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Degree in construction management or engineering preferred.
+ OSHA certification is required.
Work Environment
The position requires being onsite five days a week, with flexible remote arrangements available when onsite presence is not required. The team is led by a leading general contractor based in Morris County, NJ with projects spanning commercial, retail, hospitality, and more. There is potential for growth within the company, with opportunities to advance into a project manager role.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $57.70 - $72.12/hr.
