As part of the PN NA Data & Analytics team, Commercial, Data & Analytics Sr Manager role is pivotal in shaping and executing our data-driven strategies and delivering the products and programs that optimize enterprise planning, end-to-end value chain, commercial procurement, and manufacturing processes, ESG and R&D led Innovation. This will be done by partnering with business and technology teams to bring to life data driven use cases. They will act as the conduit between the agile delivery teams and the business to ensure resources are correctly utilized and they are delivering value. This individual will be building strong relationship with business stakeholders by developing and delivering the short, medium and long-term D&A Strategy for E2E Supply Chain in NA and partnering with global teams to find synergies in roadmap and help with scaling the solutions globally to meet our business objectives and will play a critical part in designing and delivering the D&A tools and capabilities as needed.

What are we looking for?

Significant prior experience in data and analytics; commercial/procurement domain

Strong track record of customer facing success and business acumen in working with teams to identify problems to solve, ideating on the art of the possible, and bringing possibilities to life

Experience in sourcing, contracts, pricing, or procurement

Analytics foundation – knowledgeable in operations research, data engineering and the data science domains.

Understands the technology landscape and can navigate through technology stack discussions to identify tradeoffs of choices

Can anticipate the impact of choices and interdependencies across markets, regions and segments

Practitioner experience in the supply chain

Strong story-telling skills with ability to educate non-digitally savvy leadership & staff, working across multiple levels

Proven track record to get things done in a matrixed organization – including the ability to influence without authority

Customer focused with demonstrated ability to form productive relationships with business leaders, DT personnel and project leaders

What will be your key responsibilities?

Working with NA Commercial Stakeholders to bring the Supply Chain and Innovation Vision to life, thru world class application of Data and Analytics to create sustainable value, including:

Executional Excellence and Results Delivery: Be laser focused on Value Creation and adoption of created capabilities to deliver impact/ results through advanced analytics, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements.

Partnering for Impact: Manage a wide group of stakeholders, partner with other cross-functional teams to collaboratively transform our collective capabilities and maturity, and drive a culture of data driven, informed decision-making.

D&A Product Development: Lead the end-to-end D&A product development lifecycle, from ideation to implementation and ongoing enhancement across supply and innovation domains.

Performance measurement: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of analytics products.

Program Planning: Develop a comprehensive plan, including scope, deliverables, timelines, resource requirements, and risk management strategies to create data and analytics products that deliver value.

Ownership: To partner with other product managers, data scientists, business analysts, engineers, users, scrum masters, and stakeholders to deliver data products that are adopted and tied to business outcomes

Vendor Selection and Management: Strike the right balance of internal vs. outsourced capability building- preserving technical and design leadership, outside-in innovation Oversee the selection of vendors, manage vendor relationships, and ensure adherence to contractual agreements.

Budget and Resource Management: Monitor and control the program budget, allocate resources effectively, and make data-driven decisions to optimize program efficiency.

Governance and Compliance: Establish and maintain robust data governance practices to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of supply chain data.

Create the right Culture: Implement a culture of collaborative progress, and continuous improvement, regularly assessing and refining data and analytics processes to align with evolving business requirements.

Drive implementation of Enterprise Data Quality Capability (people, process, culture, tools) and specific initiatives under the umbrella of the Data Quality Surge program. Launch and drive the data quality factory-as-a-service capability to certify data and analytics assets across the data systems landscape of Mars Snacking. This scope includes all data source systems, subscribing systems, analytical apps, AI models, and cloud and on-premises technology ecosystems. Support the implementation and embedment of Data Quality tools.

What are we looking for?

Bachelor's degree in computer science or business analytics or related major with equivalent business experience. MBA/Master’s degree preferred.

Significant prior experience in large-scale program management with a focus on data management and data transformation.

Practical experience with Data Quality program execution for product, vendor and (or) customer data domains.

Significant experience in the field

Strong functional knowledge of internal and external data assets created in technology platforms such as ERP, Supply Chain Management, Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Finance and R&D operations.

Experience driving scrum teams.

Prior experience with engaging both technical and business audiences on various levels of seniority.

Practical experience with implementation of the DQ tooling, such as Collibra, Informatica, Syniti, Infosteward, MS Purview and/or others.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Own initiatives and programs targeted at data quality improvement within the DQ surge program remit

Run data quality factory (data profiling, monitoring, DQ rules definition and cleansing activities)

Define backlog of data quality issues in line with the ‘Capture, Curate, Consume’ framework

Embed the DQ tool into the processes and activities under his/her remit

Deploy policies, standards, and best practices for effective data quality management across data assets.

Evaluate and recommend technologies that align with the organization's data quality objectives.

Oversee and/or drive the implementation of data quality initiatives. Report on the status.

Drive regular assessments of data assets to identify data quality issues

Contribute to the definition of data governance policies.

Contribute strongly to forming of data champions organization in Mars Snacking.

Support the landing of the data stewardship operating model into the mega process or a function

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Eligibitility for these additional elements depend on the position offered and the employees work schedule (i.e., part-time schedule, store associate). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
