Job Summary:

Focusing on the finance excellence, Commercial Finance will act as the primary financial business partner to the local sales and marketing director, CDO, Supply Chain and Trade Marketing teams, and work with other APAC finance functions to optimize the commercial financial support while striving for efficiency.

He/She will provide financial leadership in developing all segments across Thailand , control the P&L for the respective businesses in the sub region as well as control / influence the Balance Sheet of the business.

 

Job Duties:

Act as primary financial business partner to the local CDO, Supply Chain and Trade Marketing teams and supporting the SEA Commercial Finance Manager Provide budget guidance on the new products introduction timing, sales potential, cost and investment. Establish targets on Sales and Gross Margin using the SCOGs and productivity info Assist in the preparation of the local marketing and other segment budgets and contribute in setting the segments regional OI target Support the yearly budget and monthly estimates process on NS, GM , GM% and selling A&P expenses across in line with guidelines Support the local sales and marketing teams to develop high quality and detailed customer sales forecasts and provide variance analysis on actual results Follow the market environment regarding consumer spending forecast, competitor performance etc. Proactively work on the improvement of forecast accuracy and S&OP improvement Develop and maintain a local reporting framework for the Thailand business to support the decision-making process of the GM, CDO, Supply Chain and Trade Marketing team  Control delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual financial results of the segments. Identify and implement initiatives to improve profitability, as well as identify investment opportunities and business risks Monitor sales, GM, selling, channel marketing and A&P budgets, and in particular, by providing cost center reports for the budget owners and ensuring a periodic forecast update Together with Marketing and CDO drive the annual pricing implementation Perform competitive analysis and drive best cost achievement together with Marketing Perform financial evaluation of NPD, brand investments, commercial decisions and post audit its success Support the SEA Commercial Finance Manager in creating and maintaining a strong control environment, Proactively support the implementation of system automations to drive timely and appropriate analyses that support business decisions: Terms & Pricing: customer implementation / negotiation Programming; decision making (ROI analysis); tracking; governance Customer JBP; Line review P&Ls and other interactions Portfolio analysis and recommendation Local marketing activation support Support IT development and - while relying on the reporting package provided by the central BP&A - lead the development of appropriate reporting tools specific for the segments financial management Support the SEA Commercial Finance Manager in Identifying and monitoring of currency exposures, Collaborate with other finance functions, maintain appropriate documentation on judgmental reserves, Support other function with financial compliance (SOX, internal & external audit) Identify and advocate synergies in the finance function (centralization to accounting etc…) to improve cost and drive efficiency Coordinate closing activities with the accounting teams strong process orientation Strong process orientation

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management qualified CMA, ICAA or CPA Qualification 3-5 years working experience in accounting or business planning in multinational company Experienced in working in a US based multinational corporation Exposure and good knowledge of SAP, Hyperion and Excel. Experience in internal control review and SOX implementation
