Commercial Finance Analyst
Job Title: Commercial Finance Analyst This position is set as an On-Site position in St. Mary's, PA with the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule. Job Description As a Commercial Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for owning the forecast tool and process, ensuring data accuracy, and executing daily sales reporting. You will manage daily activities and assign tasks to the Assistant Financial Analyst. You will provide information and analytics to support the sales team's forecasting process, monthly operations reviews, and standard margin calculations. This role involves partnering with regional sales leaders and product managers to identify areas for process improvement. You will provide metrics and KPIs for monthly dashboards, support controlling with financial close and reporting processes, and identify risks and opportunities relevant to the forecast period. Responsibilities + Work safely and in compliance with all company practices, policies, and procedures. + Perform all essential functions of the position, with or without accommodations. + Own the forecast tool and process, including data accuracy. + Ensure execution of the daily sales reporting – accuracy, timeliness, etc. + Manage daily activities and assign tasks to the Assistant Financial Analyst. + Provide information and analytics to support the sales team's forecasting process and monthly operations reviews packages, including bridges and variance reports for orders and sales. + Provide information and analytics to support standard margin calculations and variances by identifying volume, price, and mix. + Partner with regional sales leaders and product managers to identify areas for process and results improvement. + Provide metrics and KPIs as needed for monthly dashboards: region, country, territory, channel, pipeline, quotes, salesperson, NPI/CPO, etc. + Support major sales planning processes - QMI, budget, and strategy. + Provide monthly reports and analytics on selling costs: C&B, T&L, cell phone, commissions, advertising, etc. + Support controlling with multiple aspects of the monthly/quarterly/yearly financial close and reporting process, particularly in the areas of revenue recognition and reconciliation. + Identify and articulate risks and opportunities relevant to the forecast period. + Participate in cross-functional process improvement teams to promote operational efficiencies. + Provide training and areas of development to the Assistant Financial Analyst. + Travel as necessary. + Perform additional functions as required. Essential Skills + Proficiency in financial analysis, sales forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis. + 1-3 years of forecasting experience. + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle ad hoc reports. + Experience in sales forecasting, incentive plans, analyzing sales orders, monthly forecasting, and supply chain/part forecasting. + Experience with data warehouse management. + Advanced skills in Excel, HubSpot (CRM), Oracle, Sage, and other financial systems. + BS in finance or accounting with 2 years of relevant experience in accounting/financial analysis. + Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally. + Proficient use of financial systems/analysis tools and Microsoft Office. + Ability to analyze complex issues, develop appropriate action plans, deliver timely results, and lead projects/assignments. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. + Strong attention to detail. + Ability to manage stress and remain calm under pressure. + Adaptability to change and ability to concentrate despite frequent distractions. + Visual acuity and the ability to distinguish the full range of colors. Work Environment This position requires a standard 40-hour work week, with five days onsite and potential flexibility for remote work. The work environment is primarily sedentary, involving extended periods at the computer. Physical demands may include bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, twisting, stretching, stooping, standing, and lifting or transporting items up to 25 lbs. The role may involve exposure to fumes, odor, and noise, and requires the ability to perform repetitive motions and apply mental processes to understand and follow instructions. Occasional overtime may be required. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $33.65/hr.
