Commercial Finance Manager (12M Fixed Term Contract), APAC Marketing And Deals
Are you interested in helping shape Amazon’s growth story in the APAC region? We are looking for a high caliber finance professional who can use their use their influencing and analytical skills to drive financial analysis and insights to the next level.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for building analytical models and using their financial and business acumen to help drive the business strategy forward. S/he will partner closely with our Marketing and Deals/Events teams in Australia and Singapore to grow and engage our APAC customer base, improve the efficiency of our marketing investments and optimise our event performance. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, has a analytical, data-driven mindset, is detail oriented and will possess the ability to work well with and influence cross-functional teams across Amazon.

- The ability to translate large amounts of data into useful information and actionable conclusions.
- Ability to "connect the dots" across multiple areas to drive .
- Strong written and oral communication skills combined with the ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads.
- An understanding of finance issues in an operational environment of rapid growth.
- Solid business judgment.
- Strong business case modeling skills, including excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel

This is a 12 month fixed term contract for maternity cover.

Key job responsibilities
- Financial Analysis & Business Case Development
- Independently drive deep dive analyses into marketing performance to generate insights and support commercial teams to improve business performance.
- Analyze performance for the business on a weekly, monthly, quarterly basis to understand drivers of performance. Synthesize findings for leadership.
- Build business case for any new opportunities, such as new programs, new measurement frameworks or incremental strategic investments.
- Develop the necessary reporting tools for understanding drivers of performance versus business case assumptions. Synthesize this information for key business reviews.
- Drive the financial planning process for one or more business lines through working with key stakeholders.
- Identify key financial risks and develop the framework and controls to mitigate these – link up with other Amazon teams where required.
- Own and manage financial framework and target setting for high value deal events
