One of the teams within the Diageo Luxury Group is our private client sales teams, who maintain relationships and sell our most desirable stock to a select group of private clients for example: casks of distinction and high age malts and Johnnie Walker trophies. 2 of the biggest private client teams are the Southeast Asia and Taiwan private client teams.
About the role
You will be the key finance business partner supporting the Global Private Client Director and Luxury Finance Director.
You will lead the performance management of the Southeast Asia and Taiwan private clients alongside the Global Private Client Director, understanding key drivers behind movements in month-on-month forecasts and looking for opportunities to resolve those variances.
You will work with the private client sales teams to create winning strategic plans, ensuring that the private client business is enabling the wider Diageo Luxury ambition to succeed. You will support the Global Private Client Director and their leadership team on strategic priorities and strategic business reviews, as well as the annual AOP setting.
Expert in understanding short- and long-term ROI of all investment, you will support the deployment of A&P investment to deliver improved ROI & profit.
Top Accountabilities:
Work alongside the Global Private Client Director to get under the skin of performance and drive an understanding and focus on performance, through the management of the BPM
Provide financial expertise to decision making processes for the private client business
Drive process improvement and simplification, as well as championing the standardization of monthly processes and ways of working across the various private client teams globally.
Assess whether the current level of A&P is driving an optimal ROI
Business partner the Global Private Client Director and leadership team when setting the 5-year strategies and AOP planning
Ensure we have a robust control environment for our private client sales business
Qualifications and Experience Required:
Mandarin speaker is advantageous
5+ years of financial expertise
Experience in financial analysis for performance management essential
Previous experience working in luxury or with HNWI is advantageous
Previous NRM or marketing experience is advantageous
Highly numerate with strong analytical skills
Ability to flex projects and workload in accordance with business and market priorities.
Exceptional ability to build and maintain genuine relationships based on mutual trust & respect
Deep personal accountability for great performance
Finance qualification CIMA/ACCA/CMA or similar equivalent qualification
Strong commercial acumen, broad business perspective – a ‘hands-on’ and in-depth understanding of the nuts and bolts of a business
