Your Role: Delivering ExcellenceAs a Commercial HVAC Technician, you will provide exemplary service to commercial clients, including the Hillsborough County School District, ensuring optimal system performance and client satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include:
Executing scheduled maintenance, repairs, and equipment changeouts for commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and chiller systems. Installing and servicing heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems, and ice machines with precision and care. Diagnosing complex technical issues and recommending preventative maintenance to ensure system reliability. Responding promptly to emergency service requests, delivering solutions with professionalism. Providing insightful facility condition assessments and contributing to strategic projects. Operating independently with robust support from our team of dispatchers, coordinators, and supervisors. This field-based role is primarily in Tampa, with occasional travel for training or meetings, supported by a company van, iPad, iPhone, and personal protective equipment (PPE). Qualifications for SuccessWe seek candidates who demonstrate:
Experience: 3–6 years of proven expertise in commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and chiller systems. Certifications: EPA Certification required. Technical Competencies: Proficiency in installing, troubleshooting, and servicing HVAC systems and ice machines. Ability to perform preventative maintenance and address urgent repairs. Exceptional customer service and the capacity to work independently. Familiarity with industry software is advantageous but not mandatory. Physical Requirements: Ability to climb ladders carrying up to 30 lbs., lift up to 75 lbs., and maneuver in confined spaces such as crawlspaces or attics. Additional Requirements: Valid driver’s license and ability to pass drug, background, and driver’s license screenings. Willingness to wear PPE and comply with enhanced security clearance protocols for school district assignments. Flexibility for overtime and occasional travel for training or regional support.
