About The Role
We’re looking for a strong Commercial Lines Account Assistant to support our growing Commercial Complex Risks Unit focused on an assigned commercial book of business with renewals throughout the year. This is an ideal role for individuals interested in trade credit business and specialty lines with strong, organized, proactive client delivery.
The successful candidate will work out of the HUB Toronto office (Exchange Tower) in a hybrid capacity.
What You’ll Do
Day-to-day activities for clients and prospects including responding to third-party information requests execution of insurance certificates, leasing confirmations, auto liability slips, binders, statements of values, proposals, and processing of client documents within timelines aligned with established service standardsEffective communication with large asset management clients and multinational companiesCalculating provincial taxes, preparing premium finance quotes, etc.Ensure the timely issuance of submissions, binders, summaries, policies, and client invoicingDetailed policy proofing and fact-checking of legal contractsMaintaining an effective abeyance system aligned with established service standardsAnswering client queries, communicating with insurance companiesProvide assistance where required and perform all other duties as assignedWhat You’ll Need for Success
RIBO Licensed or able to obtain within 3 months of employmentPost-Secondary Education in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Insurance is an assetAdministrative experience within the legal or accounting department is preferredStrong organizational, time, and client management skillsEffective communication skills: verbal and writtenStrong team playerProactive and customer-focused approachStrong initiative and follow-up skills proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel (formulas and pivot tables), PowerPoint, and OutlookExperience with Applied EPIC or similar insurance broker management systemsWhy HUB is Your Ideal Career Destination
