About The Role
Our Professional Services practice is looking for a dynamic and results oriented Account Manager to join their growing practice in the downtown Toronto office. The ideal candidate possesses experience in professional liability/errors and omissions, directors’ and officers’ liability, cyber and property & casualty insurance with an emphasis on professional services firms. This is an ideal role for someone who is hands on and client centric, focused on retention and growth. This is a great opportunity to work in a specialty practice and to grow the book of business. This role reports to the Senior Vice President, Professional Liability.
What You’ll Do
Manage an assigned book of businessEffective communication with commercial clients.Creating effective strategies to address client transactions, negotiations and ability to lead discussions.Coverage design/analysis: coverage triggers, definitions, exclusions, claims made treatment, and continuityAssume various roles dependent on account: marketing, account back up, lead broker etc.Marketing: Identifies the client or prospects’ circumstances and placing their deal in the marketplace.Participating in Underwriter conference calls and client meetingsHelping clients select amongst competing quotesParticipates in formal presentations at the C-LevelProvides feedback for the annual budget planning processCollaboration with account team including coaching and mentoringQualifications and expertise that pave the way for Success
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalentRIBO LicensedCIP, FCIP or CRM Designation desiredMinimum 5 years’ experience in professional liability (E&O)Experience on Epic broker management system or other BMSProficient in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookAbility to manage and mentor support staffStrong organizational, time and client management skillsEffective communication skills: verbal, written and presentation skillsProactive and customer focused approachResourceful researching skillsAnalytical and strong decision-making skillsStrong knowledge of commercial insurance industry trendsValid Driver’s License and ability to travel up to 25% across Ontario for client meetingsElevate Your Career with HUB International
