Commercial Lines Account Manager

Overview

Work on a team with other passionate and talented people to build and grow a high-performing company.  You will have an opportunity to learn, grow and develop yourself while directly contributing to our company’s growth goals.  You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a property & casualty book of business with focus on middle market clients (middle market defined as account premium size between $100,000-$1,000,000+). 

Your Impact:

Building and maintaining constructive and effective relationships with internal and external customers by meeting and exceeding expectationsDevelops an understanding of the clients’ business priorities and risk management needs.Gathers information on exposures and operations to prepare submission and coverage specifications as needed.Utilizes knowledge of industry and markets in preparing underwriting specifications and negotiating pricing/coverage objectives.Prepares and participates in client proposals and presentations.Provides quality day-to-day service on client deliverables.Provides assistance with coverage questions and program adjustments; solves problems regarding client account issues.Invoices and tracks for monies due until received from clients.Key liaison coordinating processes and activities supported by other team members e.g. Certificates of Insurance, Auto ID cards and, Surplus Lines filings, etc.Develops carrier/vendor relationships and stays abreast of products and offerings through our carrier and vendors partnersFostering an environment of personal accountability by managing appropriate system records of service, marketing, and policy communications with clients and carriers in accordingly

Successful Candidate will have:

Current Property & Casualty Producer LicenseProfessional designation: CPCU, ACI, CRM, ARM preferredCollege degree, preferred4-5 years’ experience with middle market commercial property & casualty accountsExperience with construction accounts preferredMust be able to apply account management concepts, practices, and proceduresSuperior skills in Microsoft Word/Excel and Adobe Acrobat-full version.AMS360 and/or ImageRight/WorkSmart, preferredExcel in a demanding and fast-paced work environment; meet multiple deadlines consistentlyDemonstrates thoroughness, an attention to detail and concern for quality in performing all tasksAbility to communicate professionally with clients and develop strong client relationshipsWillingness and ability to expand knowledge and effectiveness in the commercial insurance industry by successful completion of extended classes and workshops related to insuranceSkills: client focus, excellent communication skills – written and verbal, organized, self-starter, resourceful, positive, good humored personality, polished professional, thirst for knowledge.

At Risk Strategies Company, base pay is one part of our total compensation package, which also includes a comprehensive suite of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings, The total compensation for a position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. The expected base pay range for this position is between $70,000.00 - $80,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including geographical location, education, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
