The Commercial Loan Servicer is responsible for accurately setting up the loan structure in the core banking system, book the loans to the system, process notices, fund loans, monitor the wire queue and apply payments and fees according to the credit agreement. This includes managing loan deals where the bank is a participant or the lead/agent bank and is responsible for working with the Relationship team and other financial institutions to properly coordinate loan funding requests. The Commercial Loan Servicer is responsible for the quality control and system review of their regionally assigned Relationship Team to ensure data is accurate in the core system for internal and external reporting and notices.
Key Responsibilities:
·Review and process funding requests in accordance with the loan agreement; perform due diligence to ensure appropriate approval is received prior to funding
·Establish and onboard borrowers, guarantors, facilities and fees on the core commercial loan system in accordance to the credit agreement.
·Transact advances, conversions, loan payments, rate changes, extensions, and modifications in accordance with credit agreement and/or customer instructions.
·Prepare timely notifications to member banks for pro-rata share of the funding; ensure receipt of member bank funds and remit customer funds as instructed.
·Post incoming payments received by customer and/or other financial institutions.
Competencies Required:
·Extensive knowledge of participation/syndication, construction and complex middle market transactions with a strong understanding of accounting principles, loan processing procedures, and related regulations.
·Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint) and ability to navigate loan and bank software applications and related websites.
·Excellent organizational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail and concern for accuracy.
·Excellent customer service skills with the ability to effectively research and resolve issues and discrepancies.
·Ability to interact and communicate effectively with internal and external parties.
·Solid analytical and decision-making skills.
