Commercial Loan Services Team Lead

The Team Lead is responsible for assisting a team of 16 colleagues in a leadership capacity that are responsible for the boarding and quality review of financial data to AFSVision for all Commercial and CRB loans.  This position requires adherence to Bank Credit, Compliance, Risk, and Legal guidelines. Primary responsibilities include Assisting with training and providing guidance to new and existing colleagues regarding financial boarding of loans.  Point of contact for market partners for question and complex problem resolution. Position requires the coordination and support of multiple priorities of various functions within Commercial Loan Servicing that include directing and supporting complex functions.

Team responsibilities include boarding of loans to the AFSVision system that are originated through Velocity and CLOS. Working closely with key stakeholders to ensure timely setup of financials into AFSVision.  Maintaining data quality through a strong second review process to ensure data is accurate for general ledger and regulatory reporting.  Additionally, the Team Lead must be able to read and interpret complex legal documentation.  Ability to read and understand underwriting analysis, terms and conditions is a plus.  This team is an Essential Partner to various business areas including the Business Loan Center, Legal, Segment Risk, Finance, and Credit Administration.  Team provides support to Loan Closers, Loan Administrator, Relationship and Portfolio Managers.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION:

Monitoring daily workflow for both financial and quality review and assisting with production if needed.

Provides input and recommendations regarding training.

Assists, trains and provides guidance for new or existing colleagues.

Evaluating SLA in the production queues daily.

Working daily reports that are assigned to the booking and quality review team.

Providing production numbers to leadership each week.

Evaluating errors for the team and assisting the colleague to resolve their errors.

Providing feedback to colleagues to assist with training opportunities.

Being used as a resource for escalated concerns.

Reading and interpreting complex legal documentation.

Providing information for monthly colleague one-on-ones and quarterly reviews.

Completing monthly deal audits.

Ensuring colleagues are adhering to all bank policy and procedures associated with booking loans to AFSVision, using CLOS, Velocity and ODIN.

Must be able to work overtime as needed during peak periods, usually at end of month

Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum 2 years of experience in a loan operations production environment

Experience developing new team members

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a leadership role as a manager.

Previous commercial loan operations experience

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment within service level

PC knowledge must include Microsoft Excel

AFSVision, HAWC, Velocity, EDR, and other HNB mainframe systems is preferred

Familiarity with interpreting attorney prepared loan documentation

Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as organizational skills are required

Ability to interact with internal and external customers to achieve positive results while working in a fast-paced, production environment.

Must be able to work overtime as needed during peak periods, usually at end of month
