**Reporting to the Senior Director, Major Projects and Commercial & Risk** , the incumbent will be responsible for the development and support of commercial management for business opportunities and major projects.

**What you can expect to do here**
+ **Opportunities selection:** Assist the bidding teams in identifying and selecting business opportunities for major projects at WSP.
+ **Call for tenders review:** Study call for tenders for major projects and assist teams with the review and approval of bids.
+ **Negotiations:** Support project teams during negotiations and lead the negotiations if needed.
+ **Performance reviews:** Evaluate and support major projects’ team performance and strategy from a commercial and risk perspective, including contracts, clients, partners, and supply chain management.
+ **Change Management:** Manage changes, negotiations and claims prevention by collaborating with commercial resources.
+ **Performance Indicators:** Implement, apply, and assess key performance indicators, and assist project teams in achieving them.
+ **Cross-service collaboration:** Collaborate closely with other project support services, for example, Procurement, Legal Affairs, Finance, and Health and Safety.
+ **Project review:** Take part in major projects reviews.
+ **Commercial network:** Act as an integral part of WSP Canada’s commercial network.
+ **Representation:** Represent the Senior Director in the Vancouver office and the surrounding area and keep him informed.
+ **Commercial governance:** Support WSP Canada’s commercial governance updates and compliance.
**What you’ll bring to WSP**
+ **Education:** Degree in Engineering, Finance, Law or in a related field.
+ **Important asset:** Training or relevant experience in project management in one of the following areas: engineering, finance, legal services, governance, contract management, or negotiation.
+ Mastery of the project’s procurement method, project delivery, as well as client relationships, partnerships, project agreements, and other project-related documents.
+ **Experience:** More than 10 years of experience in supporting engineering projects, including opportunity selection, partnerships, bids, contract negotiations, project delivery, commercial management, change management, claims and governance.
+ **Major Projects:** Experience in a similar role for major projects in engineering or construction.
+ **Team Management:** Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and mediating problems of varying complexity.
+ **Risk management:** Experience in identifying, qualifying, quantifying, managing, and mitigating risks in major projects.
+ **Procurement model:** Knowledge of the various procurement models and major project execution, including PPP, collaborative models, alliances, progressive design-build, EPCM, and EPC.
+ **Business skills:** Strong business acumen and ability to navigate the different spheres of a business.
+ **Conflict resolution:** Excellent conflict and issue resolution skills.
+ **Communication:** Excellent communication and presentation skills, in both oral and written English. Fluency in French is an asset.
**Compensation**
Expected Salary (all locations): $ 105,800 - $145,400
The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. The salary range provided in this job posting may be subject to change for business purposes.
