Duties
We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join the Health & Nutrition vertical business in the EMEA region, with a specific responsibility for the commodities portfolios. The successful candidate will be targeted to support strategic market share positions through key supplier relationships and consolidation to deliver double-digit gross profit growth.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
Manage and drive a team of Product Managers and Assistants across the EMEA region. Develop a strategic vision for the future success of the commodities business with short and medium-term measurable actions. Continuously monitor market share by mapping suppliers and competitors’ activity. Support product management team in the negotiation of supplier conditions and identify areas for growth with key partners. Drive structural gross profit growth. Drive a culture of contract management with both sellers and purchasers and ensure the maintenance of positions managed through the PM team. Drive strong price management practices through the PM team and ensure effective cooperation with Sales Managers in the region. Review current commodity portfolio and make recommendations for change in order to better drive core products. Consider investment opportunities in infrastructure or acquisition targets which support the strategic vision for the Health & Nutrition EMEA business. Drive Inbound Supplier service performance improvements. Optimize Working Capital
We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have previous product management experience in commodities, preferably in the Food industry, as well as people management skills and a strong strategic vision. It is essential that you are self-motivated, focused, and flexible, organized, a strong communicator and possess excellent IT skills. The successful candidate will have proven commercial judgement, attention to detail, the ability to work across a wide network and be an excellent team player and influencer. You should strive for excellence in customer service and be an advocate for the success of your team.
