As part of our Cost Management team, you’ll be involved in a wide range of projects from global and high profile to small and impactful, ensuring they’re delivered on time and to budget. Your expertise in planning, estimating, budgeting and managing costs will drive growth and smarter working.
Role accountabilities: Supporting development of programme and project business cases within the clients defined processes Leading and supporting the development of effective commercial strategies including acquisition and contracting at programme, project and category as appropriate Providing support to the procurement process (pre-award), commercial management of contracts during the execution phase (post-award) and commercial management for the delivery of contract account agreements (close out). Managing Supplier / Contractor commercial relationships. Participating in supply chain / supplier / contractor performance management. Commercially administering the contract including Notices and Instructions; Applications for Payment, Invoicing and Scheduling of Payment; Variations and Change Management; Disputes and Claims Administration / Support Qualifications & Experience: Effective commercial / contract management in both pre- and post-contract skills are essential, with clear knowledge of best practice contract methodologies. Extensive experience in Forms of Contract (NEC and/or FIDIC) within the construction industry and major projects and programme environment (power, oil & gas, water, rail, etc.), ideally power. Experience working within a regulated sector would be beneficial. Membership of the RICS / CIPS / CICES / IOB or equivalent professional body Specific project experience with delivery of HV cables, subsea cables, HV equipment in Offshore setting is welcomed.
