This position is located at Kinder Morgan’s Birmingham, Alabama regional headquarters within KM’s Commercial Business Development department. As a member of the commercial team, this position will have primary responsibilities of compiling and maintaining reporting for various pipeline and LNG assets in the South Region. This position will organize around reporting requirements, reporting deadlines and develop mechanisms to track and coordinate around those deadlines. This position will also perform analysis around variances, vessel schedules and storage activity. The successful candidate will be a strong team player and participate in process improvements with the goal of making things run more efficiently and effectively. Job Responsibilities will include: + Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for customers and joint venture partners for joint venture pipeline and LNG assets. + Assist in coordinating and keeping track of LNG vessel activity and effectively communicate schedule changes to stakeholders. + Maintain vessel reports used for Joint Venture reporting. + Develop and maintain reporting packages and tracking mechanisms. + Research industry topics as needed. + Ability to manage multiple deadlines and ensure deadlines are met. + Candidate should be a strong multi-tasker, having the ability to manage several tasks at the same time. + Must possess strong organizational and time management skills. + Must be detail oriented with excellent written and oral skills. + Perform ad hoc analysis and provide assistance as needed. + Assist or backfill for other positions within the department as needed. Position Requirements Education: + Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. + An advanced degree is a plus Experience: + 3-5 years of experience in an analyst or related position. + Experience performing data review, analysis, and management reporting. Competencies, Skills, and Abilities: + Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required. + Above average proficiency in MS PowerPoint and MS Word. + Proficiency with MS Outlook and MS Teams. + Must have the ability to work with a wide variety of people to achieve desired results. + Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks are essential + Must be a problem solver with the ability to find resolutions. + Must be self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision at times. + Must be flexible and able to work effectively in a team environment and consistently maintain a professional and respectful demeanor/attitude with co-workers and customers. + Must have strong analytical skills. Analyst job level will be determined based on the successful candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
