Job Description
As the commercial lead for FASW, you will report into and work closely with the Director of Contracts and key internal stakeholders to ensure that business strategy is translated into effective and practical commercial leadership, advice, implementation and execution of appropriate commercial agreements. You will be responsible for commercial activities, involving all aspects of the bid and project lifecycle, engaging with all relevant internal and external stakeholders and seek to minimise commercial risk to the business.
The Commercial Officer role, will be supported by the commercial team in drafting proposals, reviewing and negotiating bids/ contracts, adhering to internal commercial governance and key commercial administration tasks. The Commercial Officer will support the Trade Controls Manager in ensuring bid related trade controls documentation is in place.
This role can be based either out of our office in Greenford or Loudwater, with occasional travel between these sites and comes with flexible working. Occasional travel to other Ultra Maritime or customer sites around the UK, may be required.
Key Responsibilities as a Commercial Manager
Taking the lead in providing commercial input for tenders, preparing proposal and supporting negotiations. Preparing and evaluating responses to customer’s enquiries and Invitations to Tenders.Become the “go to” point for all commercial or legal queries raised within the FASW segment.Being part of a cross functional team to manage all commercial aspects to deliver programmes in a timely manner. Liaison with customers, stakeholders at all working levels.Supporting commercial administration related activities across the UK line of business.Support trade controls related activities associated with the bid phase.Skills, Qualification and Experience as a Commercial Officer
A Bachelor’s degree in business or legal.Commercial experience would be an advantage.A team player with experience working in cross-functional teams.Proficient in Microsoft office packages.Benefits on offer:
