The Commercial Operations Manager supports the sales, specifications, and operations of the Business Unit identifying any areas in which the business unit can grow and improve. The primary focus of the role is to lead the acquisition, treatment, and governance of commercial operations and all data while leading the development and delivery of key insights and reporting (both strategic and tactical execution).

This newly created role will help plan long-term initiatives for success, work with various teams and functions on improvements and solutions, and partner with sales teams to analyze CRM funnels and develop strategies to maximize results.

Strategy:

• Develop and execute market growth plans

• Develop and execute commercial forecast of its products and work with the Sales and Business teams to consistently achieve it

• Lead/Support execution and tracking of key strategic initiatives

• SIOP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning)

• Day to day interaction with our Product and Sales teams

• Tactical Product & Regional Pricing

• Commercial agreements / Sales promotions

• Support analysis and execute product rationalization strategy

Commercial Insights:

• Gather data from multiple sources and organize into a format used to track long term commercial trends

• Develop market size analysis and regional target recommendations

• Evaluate specification and POS data to determine key trends and identify gaps or opportunities

• Provide comprehensive data analysis on key trends and influencers of orders -- including price, rebate, and commission

• Identify root cause of macro business unit orders trends at relevant micro (regional, customer, product, etc.) level

• Influence strategic commercial countermeasures based on data analysis

• Provide support to the General Manager to link commercial insights and strategy execution to business outcomes

Funnel Management and Profitability

• Evaluate CRM funnel data to provide comprehensive data analysis of standard margin by products, regions and customer and identify key trends/insights

• Evaluate pace and shape of funnel and manage the overall completeness information being input by the field

Experience and Skill Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in business or marketing preferred

• Minimum of 7 years related experience

• Ability to build relationships with partners and other functions within the organization

• Efficient and detail-oriented

• Advanced in Microsoft Office Suite (Power Point, Excel, Word, Access)

• Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
