Commercial Operations Specialist

Job Purpose:                                      

The Commercial Operations Specialist's tasks will include the monitoring of the Tender platform in Germany (e.g. Vergabemarktplatz, etc.) as well as preparing Tenders, Proposals and Pre-qualification responses, including but not limited to the technical, commercial and contractual aspects of these document.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Partners with the Product Line and Commercial teams to develop best in class proposals. Ensure all proposals are formatted and comply with company brand guidelines, customer requirements and follow internal quality guidelines. Understands the Geozone / Product Line strategy documents and supports their translation into actionable and winning propositions to the client. Creates review/approval workflow and managing said workflow in the Xait Porter platform under the direction of the Commercial Operations Supervisor or Manager. Responsible for obtaining all required approval reviews and approval routings in CRM as part of the tender/proposal submission process. Updates CRM status throughout the lifecycle of the tender/contract phase. Assists in the review of contracts in accordance with company policy and procedure, preparing commercial qualifications and assisting with the negotiation of Contracts. Manages contracts until they are closed out.  Ensures the CRM is constantly updated as per contract details and status.

Experience & Education:

Higher Education Certificate / Diploma related to Business, Economics, Finance, Legal. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate and influence with management and client organizations.  Excellent organizational skills and ability to simultaneously manage multiple bids/projects. Results orientated, attention to detail, methodical, self-driven, energy and ability to influence without authority in a multi-disciplinary, matrixed environment. Effective communicator (written and verbal). Understanding of the Oil and Gas Industry business environment, its market dynamics, impact to commercial business practices, oil and gas industry products and services application. Demonstrated development of contracts, negotiations and execution of amendments. Excellent IT competence and project management skills. Multi-language skills. German and English as minimum.
