Commercial Rates & FX Solutions Sales Specialist (VP Level)

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a VP-Level Securities Sales Specialist to join its Commercial Rates & Foreign Exchange (FX) Solutions team. This role is a senior client-facing role and involves a high degree of partnership across the platform to provide interest rate and FX risk management and FX payment solutions to clients.

The Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) group provides banking services and financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Within CIB, the Markets Division is responsible for the sales and trading platform which includes interest rates and FX products.  The Commercial Rates & Foreign Exchange (FX) Solutions team helps clients manage exposures to interest rate and FX risk through the structuring of hedging strategies and implementation of payment solutions.  Our integrated sales team provides best in-class interest rate and FX products, trade execution and customer service for clients within Wells Fargo’s Commercial Banking and Wealth & Investment Management franchises.


In this role, you will:

Drive the best-in-class Interest Rate and FX sales coverage for a specific region and/or line of business and collaborate with a larger team to achieve financial goalsWork effectively with Rates and FX partners to develop and implement holistic risk management strategies for Wells Fargo’s Commercial Banking and Wealth & Investment Management clientsBuild the Rates and FX franchise within the local market to serve clients and grow the businessMaintain consistent, professional, and value-added client coverageContribute to overall team goals set and participate in platform initiativesMaintain strong discipline around credit risk management, XVA and capital to achieve appropriate risk return targetsBuild strong working relationships with all banking and product partners across platformPartner effectively with all support areas to deliver superior client experience and serviceAssist with training, mentoring, coaching, and developing junior talentEnsure compliance with all new Dodd-Frank and other regulatory rules and help guide team to improve process to meet market practices as they developUnderstand competitive landscape in the Rates and FX asset classes and position the team to be successful in the marketplace among peer group of Rates and FX providers


Required Qualifications:

5+ years of Securities Sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

5+ years interest rate, foreign exchange (FX) experience or other equivalent capital markets experience3+ year of experience assisting clients with FX risk management programs (i.e., balance sheet, cash flow),  interest rate risk management programs (e.g., loan hedges, option-based hedging structures), and net investment hedge programs3+ years of client-facing experience, covering all phases required throughout a risk management life cycle including onboarding, negotiation, and trade executionUnderstanding of common capital structures for corporate entities and associated risk management strategiesUnderstanding of US GAAP treatment for common FX, interest rate, and net investment hedging structuresSolid creative and strategic thinking skillsEffective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skillsStrong analytical and quantitative skillsProven ability to develop effective relationships with internal partners and clientsProficient in PowerPoint, Word and Excel with comfort creating original, client/business-ready contentSelf-motivated to perform at a high levelDesire to work in collaborative environmentA strong work ethic and positive attitude


Job Expectations:

Ability to travel up to 50% or as neededThis position is subject to Dodd-Frank Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background screen. Applicants are subject to a new screen to comply with Title VII of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act which states that Associated Persons (AP) cannot be subject to statutory disqualification. Under industry regulations, an AP is defined as a team member who solicits or accepts client orders for swaps. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents.

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$144,400.00 - $300,000.00
