Nelson Mullins is actively seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Real Estate Paralegal with specialized experience in title and survey review, entity formation, real estate closings, and title insurance to join our dynamic team. A Day in the LifeIn this role, you'll be responsible for carefully reviewing and analyzing title documents and surveys, spotting any potential issues, and preparing title objections and responses. You'll collaborate closely with title companies, surveyors, and others to resolve discrepancies and ensure clear property titles. You'll also support every stage of commercial real estate transactions, from due diligence to financing and closing, while helping organize the structure and documentation needed. Managing multiple deals at once will be a big part of your day, keeping checklists up to date, tracking key deadlines, and making sure everyone—clients, lenders, local agencies, and internal teams—stays connected. You'll draft and review important legal documents, like corporate resolutions and loan agreements, and ensure that all transaction records are well-organized in our case management systems. Additionally, you'll form LLCs, corporations, and partnerships, and obtain tax ID numbers.
We Know YouWe’re looking for someone with a Bachelor’s degree, Associate degree, or Paralegal Certification, along with at least five years of experience as a paralegal, specifically in commercial real estate with a focus on title and survey matters. You should be proficient in Microsoft Excel and document management tools like Net Documents. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as well as a keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail. You’ll need to be able to prioritize tasks, juggle multiple responsibilities, meet tight deadlines, and proactively solve problems. We’re seeking a self-starter with a strong sense of accountability and a commitment to providing top-quality client service.
