Commercial Real Estate Paralegal
Description Robert Half's Legal Division is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join one of our dynamic in house clients in the Chicago Loop. This role will support the General Counsel and would be expected in the office for a hybrid schedule. Responsibilities + Assist in drafting, reviewing, and revising various transaction-related documents, including purchase agreements, leases, closing statements, deeds, and other contracts + Prepare and organize closing binders and ensure all necessary documents are executed and properly filed + Coordinate and perform due diligence tasks, including title and survey review, obtaining and analyzing zoning reports, environmental reports, and other critical documents + Assist in the preparation and review of due diligence checklists and ensure compliance with contractual obligations + Act as the point of contact between the legal team, clients, and third-party vendors (e.g., title companies, lenders, and opposing counsel) + Organize and manage the closing process, including coordinating schedules, preparing closing documents, and managing the transfer of funds + Review closing documents for accuracy and completeness before execution + Manage post-closing tasks, such as ensuring all necessary recordings are completed, tracking post-closing obligations, and maintaining transaction files + Assist in the resolution of any post-closing issues that may arise + Maintain organized and up-to-date electronic and physical files for all transactions + Ensure proper document retention and compliance with company policies and legal requirements + Liaise with internal teams, external counsel, clients, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transaction processes + Provide regular updates to the legal team and other relevant parties on the status of transactions + Maintain organized and up-to-date electronic and physical files for all transactions + Ensure proper document retention and compliance with company policies and legal requirements + Liaise with internal teams, external counsel, clients, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transaction processes + Provide regular updates to the legal team and other relevant parties on the status of transactions Requirements Requirements: + Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2-3 years of paralegal experience in a law firm, with a focus on commercial real estate transaction + Strong proficiency with technology for managing real estate transactions, for creating complex documents and spreadsheets; and an aptitude for adapting to new technology and software as required by the role + Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines + Excellent attention to detail and accuracy + Excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to interface with colleagues at all levels + Ability to work under pressure, handle sensitive information with discretion and provide superior client service + Ability to work effectively independently + Possess skills, abilities and traits that align with the company's Key Principles For immediate consideration, apply today!!
