Eastern Underwriting Center is seeking a Renewal Program Underwriter for Commercial Insurance.

The Underwriter contributes to the achievement of corporate goals relating to growth, profit, renewal retention, service, and producer/client management for Inland Marine coverages.

Daily responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Providing rating and issuance instructions including appropriate forms, coverages, and premiums. Documenting underwriting analysis information in the electronic file; ensuring electronic file integrity Review renewals and apply appropriate strategies.  Gather and analyze change requests then complete the endorsement book/issue instructions as necessary. Adhere to all jurisdictional compliance documentation standards and ensure all underwriting documentation is complete.

Strong communication, multitasking and organizational skills. Must demonstrate: Math aptitude, strong business acumen, critical thinking skills which lead to confident decision making, familiarity with or ability to learn the reference manuals. Willingness to learn the electronic systems, underwriting principles, policy forms and proficient in Word and Excel.  Ability to learn quickly, prioritizes work, and performs within time constraints.

Education & Experience:

Minimum High school degree or equivalent.Experience with Inland Marine coverages is a plus
