What You’ll Do:
As a Service Roof Inspector, you will be responsible for evaluating the condition of commercial roofs. Your role will involve performing thorough roof inspections, documenting findings, and providing clear, actionable recommendations business owners. You will work closely with our team to identify potential issues before they become costly problems, ensuring customer satisfaction and peace of mind.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct on-site roof inspections, focusing on identifying the condition of roof systems and recommending necessary repairs or preventive measures.Capture high-quality photographs of roof areas, noting visible issues, including signs of wear, damage, organic growth, or defects.Assess roof systems for potential deficiencies that could lead to leaks, damage, or accelerated wear.Prepare detailed roof condition reports, identifying areas that need attention and providing recommendations for improving roof longevity.Measure roof areas, inventory rooftop equipment, and identify any safety hazards or structural issues.Clearly communicate inspection results to the Service Manager and project teams.Assist in preparing roof repair proposals based on inspection findings.Utilize CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) to manage and report inspection data.Adhere to Nations Roof’s safety policies and procedures during inspections and other activities.Support Service Manager in preparing and reviewing work orders and contractual documents related to roofing service projects.Maintain strong, professional relationships with customers, field technicians, and external contractors.Help maintain project tracking tools and support ongoing project development efforts.Organize and maintain inspection documents and reports.Perform other duties as assigned.Skills and Knowledge:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).Willingness to learn and utilize company-specific software tools.Ability to read and understand work orders and specifications.Knowledge of various commercial roofing systems (e.g., EPDM, TPO, PVC, Modified Systems, Metal, Hot Melt Waterproofing, Liquid Membrane, Flashing, Built-Up Roofing).Strong understanding of manufacturer warranties and roofing material specifications.Advanced skills in diagnosing and repairing roof system problems safely and accurately.Ability to identify roofing materials and recommend appropriate repair methods.Capability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively within a team.Physical ability to climb ladders, navigate rooftops, and lift materials as necessary.Flexibility to work shifts, including weekdays and weekends.Education and Experience:
Experience in commercial roofing inspections, troubleshooting, service repairs, or field installation.Familiarity with commercial roofing systems (e.g., EPDM, TPO, PVC, SBS, BUR, liquid-applied, asphalt shingles, and metal).Valid Driver’s License (with no restrictions).Willingness to obtain OSHA 10 certification (Nations Roof will provide training if applicable).Benefits Include:
