Nations Roof is seeking a Commercial Roofing Estimator responsible for selling, pricing, and negotiating contracts for commercial roof projects.
Nations Roof is one of the largest commercial roofing contractors and ranked in the Top 5 Roofing Contractors in the US.
Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)
Estimate, compile bids and generate proposals accurately and are completed on timeMake site visits to collect bidding information and/or from Plans/Specs for new/re-roof projects, when requiredObtains quotes from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials; identifying qualified subcontractors; negotiating priceReview/prepare proposed project bids in accordance with company bidding procedures with essential overall cost accuracyParticipate in pre and post review project meetingsComplete project closeout documentsCultivate customer relationships that will assist in winning profitable repeat businessMaintain communication with project contacts throughout the entire project from start to finishControlling and prioritizing multiple activities while handling multiple projects
Job Requirements:
BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of degreeAt least 5 years experience estimating complex commercial/industrial projects Commercial Roofing industry experience, preferredCurrently living in the greater West Haven, CT area and ability to commute daily to office -RequiredAdvanced knowledge and understanding of commercial/industrial roofing system design and installation code compliance and manufacturers requirements for warranty, highly preferredProficient with data base estimating digitizer computerize estimating software (Edge Software experience is a Plus)Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Outlook, Power point, WordMust be a motivated and a “self-starter” with professional appearanceAbility to give instructions and clearly explain problems or situationValid drivers license and insurable driving recordMust be team orientated
