Commercial Roofing crew management experience is required to be considered for this position. 

Must have current residency in Central, Mountain or Pacific time zones. This role involves traveling approximately 90% of the time. Initially, projects will mainly be focused in Central to the West Coast territories, but projects can be located anywhere in the U.S.

We are seeking a Commercial Roofing Assistant Superintendent to oversee the planning implementation and tracking of commercial roof project installation from beginning to end.  Coordinating closely with all parties involved and frequent updates.

Our projects range in scope from large-scale new construction to complete tear-offs, re-roofing and renovations of existing building exteriors, and on-going roof maintenance, inspection, and repairs of all major commercial roof systems.

Job Summary:   The Commercial Roofing Assistant Superintendent will assist with onsite management and under direction supervise commercial roofing crew(s), communicate with customers and management team regarding the project statues and updates on the project, daily/weekly reports submission, verify equipment and materials are received or status, provided technical expertise and/or training on install methods to ensure quality projects, safety oversite and toolbox talks. 

 

Responsibilities and Functions:   

Assist in coordinating project activities to attain successful goals on all projects by focusing attention on time and in budget project completion.Reading and understanding of blueprints and Plans/Specs for new and reroof projects.On site supervision of assigned projects including coordination/supervision of subcontractors, as directed.Controlling and prioritizing multiple activities while handling (projects).Participate in all pre-construction meetings.Maintain communication with project supervisor and contacts regarding scheduling.Insuring inventory of materials received at project site.Coordinate Final Inspections with Customer/Manufacturer and advise estimating of completion.Complete Project closeout documents.Assist in ensuring overall Quality Control of projects.Work with national customer contactsTravel will be required 90% of the time.

Skills/Qualifications: 

5 years field experience with commercial roof installation.Experience with roof installation of large retail facilities "Big Box".Experience managing roofing crews and roofing subcontractors.Experience of a wide range of commercial roofing systems and roofing manufacturers.Read and understand specifications and blueprints.Basic computer skills - Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, Outlook).Willing to be trained and use company software.Must be able to travel frequently.Requires a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.Fluent in English.  Spanish/ English Fluency is preferred.
