Commercial Security Technician

The Commercial Security Technician performs service and installations of commercial security including access control, video surveillance, security, and networking.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Service and Install commercial security systems, including existing system upgrades and additions, while demonstrating complete understanding of the use and function of all required personal protective equipment. Install cabinets, cameras, and radios as required. Install conduit and underground cabling to support system installations. Installations require knowledge and ability to understand and explain: Testing system components. Attend classroom and field training as required. Work on an on-call schedule rotation. Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associates Degree in Internet Technologies is preferred Must have minimum of 3 years’ experience installing, testing and troubleshooting cable, phone and internet Must have Fiber Optic Cabling experience and basic understanding of computer networks and knowledge of Cat5 and Cat6, Fiber, and Copper Must have active and clean, non-restrictive, state issued driver’s license in State where hired. Must be comfortable working on a ladder and all heights Ability to work days, weekends, evenings and holidays and participate with on-call rotation as needed
