The Role
Veeva’s Japan Business Consulting Group is a key growth area for Veeva. It offers a differentiated consulting service in Life Sciences with a compelling value proposition - building on Veeva’s position as the digital partner of choice for 85% of the top 20 Pharmaceutical companies. As part of the Veeva Commercial Strategy Consulting Team, you will be part of the team responsible for building and delivering insightful solutions (through face-to-face  and virtual discussions, workshops, email, etc.) to deliver demonstrable, sustainable value at the forefront of digital and commercial innovation. As a Commercial Strategy Senior Consultant, you will manage workstreams on consulting projects for Veeva’s Commercial Life Sciences customers: planning, organizing, and tracking all aspects of delivery in that workstream and developing close working relationships with customers.  What You'll DoLead a workstream(s) in a project engagement: planning, organizing and managing all aspects of delivery including scope, quality, resources, risk and timelinesBe responsible for the end-to-end design, build and delivery of project deliverables that meet specific project goals and objectivesIdentify and proactively solve problems faced by the ClientBe a primary Client contact for operational project questions, build trusted relationships with Client stakeholders through interactions in person and remotelyManage the work and priorities of Associate Consultants in your workstreamSupport and mentor Associates in developing skills and professional capabilitiesDemonstrating ability to assimilate to new knowledgePossess good business acumenRemaining current on new developments in advisory services capabilities and industry knowledgeInput into business development opportunities and proposalsHelp develop and disseminate thought leadershipRequirementsBachelor's degree and excellent academic record3+ years of management consulting experienceExperience in Life Sciences, particularly in the Commercial Operations/Commercial Excellence and/or consulting to this sectorGood understanding of Commercial, with deeper expertise in two or more of the following areas: multi-channel strategy and optimization, product launch, go to market strategy, commercial model design, key account planning and management, segmentation and targeting, insight and analytics and brand strategyGood understanding of commercial/marketing technology and how business consulting offerings can both leverage and support theseGood understanding of the business capabilities and drivers underpinning digital technology in Health and Life Sciences and the market forces and trends driving industry changesProven data science and analytical skills, able to quantitatively and qualitatively assess problems and communicate responses across a range of issuesA problem-solving mindset: anticipating issues early, analyzing and proactively finding solutionsHighly effective project management skillsSkilled in facilitating collaboration amongst team membersAble to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization and quickly establish credibilityHave a strong personal impact and ability to influence and persuade a range of stakeholdersAn effective communicator verbally and written in both English and JapaneseAbility to travel roughly 50% but this can vary depending on engagement/environmentValid working Visa in Japan is requiredNice to HaveExperience with digital technologies, analytics toolsExperience working with SaaS solutionsUnderstanding/experience of AI and its applications in sales and marketingFluency in multiple Asian languagesPerks & BenefitsHighly competitive remunerationOpportunity for rapid progression in a high growth businessAllocations for continuous learning & development Veeva Giving.  Financial contributions for the societal causes you’re passionate about Health & wellness programs#LI-RemoteBCCommStrategy
