The primary scope of the position is to contribute to our Commercial strategy through the execution and application of Allianz Trade Commercial Underwriting standards. The position reports to the Head of Commercial Underwriting.     

 

Key Responsibilities - What you do:

You know and apply Commercial Underwriting rules and pricing strategy.  You facilitate business development within the Commercial Underwriting rules. You ensure the quality and profitability of the portfolio You approve the terms and conditions proposed by our Distribution Team You provide solutions to the Distribution Team for complex structure                                                                                          You prepare and issue all relevant documents in our local system You ensure the system's smooth operation, handling defects and running the mandatory and ad hoc tests.

 

What you bring:

- At least 4 years of experience in underwriting or a related field in the insurance industry

- Bachelor's degree in Business, preferably a Master's degree

- Proficiency in Business English, with the ability to effectively persuade and negotiate in English

- Market knowledge: understanding of Greece's market specifics

- Familiarity with applicable underwriting rules and guidelines

- Proficiency in structuring complex contractual details

- Ability to provide solutions and persuade our Sales & Distribution Team

- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with internal and external parties

- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize competing responsibilities under pressure

- Capacity to build relationships and credibility with peers, managers, and the Regional team

- Resilience, internal drive, and patience to drive positive change

- Quick grasp and application of business strategies and objectives
