Commercialization Manager
Overview The overarching role of Commercialization is to enable PepsiCo to accelerate growth by rapid development and flawless execution of ‘Fewer, Bigger, Better, Faster’ innovation. This role is reporting to Asia & ANZ Beverages Commercialization Lead and is required to support the Innovation and Commercialization agenda across Asia Beverages BU including accountability for supporting the running of the Innovation Process (Stage Gate meetings), leading innovation projects and driving cross-functional teams to deliver the launch and owning the Innovation systems data to ensure quality and reliable inputs and KPI reporting. Responsibilities 1. Lead project management of Asia BU Beverages Break-In, Reframe, Refresh innovations and Change projects end-to-end from idea initiation to launch (projects to be aligned with Commercialization leadership). This includes: Leading and driving cross-functional teams (Marketing, R&D, Insights, Finance, Supply Chain, PGCS etc) to develop and deliver the launch Develop strong relationships with innovation commercialisation leads in bottler businesses (TH, PH, VN, MYS) to align timelines and manage deliverables on time and in full – this requires significant influencing skills and ability to hold stakeholders accountable. Managing scope, timeline, risks, contingencies, costs and acting as ‘single voice of truth’ in projects in managing stakeholders via providing impartial view of project status to drive decision making Driving the monthly 3yr NPD Portfolio review agenda in collaboration with BU Commercialization lead to ensure all projects are communicated to Senior Marketing team and issues escalated through the right channels Lead bi-weekly cross-functional team meetings Develop strong working relationships and influence key stakeholders without direct authority 2. Drive Speed, Agility and Lift& Scale as organization competitive advantage Drive Global and Sector Lift&Scale visibility in collaboration with BU commercialization lead and broader Commercialization team Build team standards via continuous improvement, tools and templates as well as End-to-End process improvement Exhibit strong understanding of Asia BU commercialization process to help guide team and identify key tasks 3. Own innovation Scorecard and MyInnovation data integrity Ensure quality inputs and compliance in line with global requirements and business KPIs Deliver KPI’s with a focus on of 3Yr Innovation NR, Stickability and Incrementality and complete all Gate 5s on time and in full. Qualifications High level of business acumen, must be commercially savvy with strong analytical and project management skills Strong and effective communicator with people of all levels and functions in the organization Proven project leadership/management skills, ability to manage complex functional interdependencies in project timelines Understanding of FMCG innovations, including consumer ideation and Insights processes through to Make/Move/Sell capability Bachelors degree, minimum 6 years experience Fluent English Differentiating Competencies Required Identify any differentiating behaviors, leadership skills or soft skills required for success in the role. Ability to see (& sell) the “big picture” while ensuring attention to (important) detail. Ability to manage ambiguity in an ever changing environment with competing priorities. Ability to lead cross-functional team not reporting to this role directly. Ability to function in a heavily matrixed environment across levels and functions
