As a Commercialization & Solutions Offer Manager/Sr. Manager for BCG U, you will play a pivotal role in driving the commercial growth agenda by shaping and executing go-to-market strategies, leading critical business development initiatives, managing cross-functional projects, and aligning stakeholders across global teams. Success in this role requires strategic vision, robust project management capabilities, data-driven insights, and the ability to influence senior leadership while collaborating across various Industry Practice Areas and Functional Practice Areas. Close partnership with the BCG U Leadership and the BCG People & Organization Practice (POP) team and Managing Directors & Partners (MDPs) will be critical to ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and driving impactful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Business Development
Collaborate with BCG U Leadership, Managing Partners (MDPs), Industry Practice Areas, Functional Practice Areas, and POP team to identify growth opportunities and shape commercial strategies. Develop and execute business development plans, including tracking revenue growth (by sector, region, client…), lead flow, and prioritizing key clients and marketing outreach. Monitor and manage the business development pipeline, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives while identifying opportunities to drive commercialization and go to market evolution. Analyze commercial trends and competitor insights to inform decision-making and support the evolution of a differentiated commercial offering.Go-to-Market Acceleration & Execution
Partner with BCG U Leadership, MDPs, Industry Practice Areas, Functional Practice Areas, and POP team to drive the commercialization of priority BCG U upskilling solutions. Partner with the Knowledge Management team to create and maintain go-to-market materials, ensuring alignment across stakeholders, including client-facing teams. Customize campaigns and offerings to address the unique needs of priority clients, sectors, and regions. Help articulate and package the offer (incl. links with other BCG offers) to accelerate the BCG U go to market messaging to be consistent and impactful across industries and regions.Marketing and Thought Leadership
Identify, develop and execute marketing & communication strategies to enhance the visibility of BCG U offerings both internally and externally.Support the development of thought leadership initiatives through publications, internal events, and external engagements to strengthen market positioning and organizational reputation. Contribute to content development as needed (frameworks, tools, publications, etc.). Contribute and lead the preparation and delivery for internal & external commercialization events & presentation (ie. WWOMs).Operational Excellence
Process Improvement: Build scalable tools, frameworks, and best practices to optimize account and pipeline management across regions and globally. Performance Metrics: Develop and leverage dashboards and analytics to measure the effectiveness of business development initiatives and drive continuous improvement.Cross-Functional Collaboration and Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with BCG U Leadership, Industry Practice Areas, Functional Practice Areas, POP team, knowledge experts, and marketing teams. Lead cross-practice initiatives to foster synergies, ensure seamless execution, and achieve impactful results. Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, supporting the development of strategic relationships that advance business objectives.What You'll Bring
6-10+ years of relevant experience in commercial activation, business development, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, Master’s) strongly preferred. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with familiarity in tools like Tableau, Alteryx, and CRM platforms being an advantage. Proven track record of managing large-scale initiatives within a global, matrixed organization. Experience in consulting or professional services is highly desirable.Attributes: A self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, capable of navigating ambiguity and thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Key Competencies
