For this position, the Kitchen Maintenance Manager will oversee maintenance of the Newrest Catering Facilities at the IAH Airport in Houston, TX.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Ensures kitchen equipment, HVAC systems, freezers, ice plant, and hot food storage units operate efficientlyResponding to emergency maintenance issues that impact meal delivery to airlinesOversee day-to-day operations of the site including safety, accounting, human resources, purchasing, and warehouse functions.Calm under pressure – ability to manage urgent, high-impact repairs.Provide direction for all maintenance and administrative workers at the site.Strive to improve efficiency, profitability, and safety of the operation.Coordinate all formal interfaces with and managing customer expectations.Ensure consistent leadership and direction for the site.Proactive problem solver – must anticipate issues before they disrupt airline meal serviceDetail-oriented – needs to have full transparency on maintenance activities to our customer.Provide budgets and financial reports as required.Highly organized – balancing administrative work alongside operationsComply with company safety program and trainings.Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High School DiplomaValid Driver’s LicenseExperience in management, operations, finance, and electrical maintenanceStrong presentation skillsStrong understanding (not necessarily hands-on expertise) of: Refrigeration & HVAC systemsElectrical systemsPlumbing & general facility maintenanceComputer skills with knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, project management, and understanding/knowledge of CMMSAbility to be badged to work in secure areas of an airportAbility to be on-call and work occasional evenings and weekends

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of Site Manager, the employee is regularly required to stand; sit; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and work in small spaces. Ladder work required. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include good close proximity vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Good hand / eye coordination is required.


 

Pay Range:

$82,000.00 - $132,800.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
