Hyatt Place Kuala Lumpur, Bukit Jalil - marks the first Hyatt Place hotel in Malaysia. Located in Bukit Jalil, an affluent suburb located within the southern corridor of Kuala Lumpur, the hotel features approximately 250 guestrooms, a three-meal restaurant, Large Ballroom and 4 meeting rooms and flexible event space, Rooftop restaurant, a fitness centre, and a sky pool.
We are currently looking for a Commis (Host - Kitchen) to join us as we continue to embark this exciting journey with the hotel. Due to work permit restrictions, this position is only open for Malaysian Citizen and Permanent Resident of Malaysia.
This position reports to the hotel Chef De Cuisine.
Customer Service
Provides a courteous and professional service at all times. Assists with Host duties as requested and required due to operational needsHandles guest and associate enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, reporting complaints or problems if no immediate solution can be found, whilst providing a prompt follow-up.Ensure that Guest Satisfaction Survey (HySat) score is achieved or exceeded the corporate target.Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.Operational
Ensures that all company minimum brand standards have been implemented.Works closely with other associates in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests.Prepares menu items in strict accordance with set recipes. Adheres to all Hyatt Hotels hygiene standards and local hygiene laws.Washes, peels, cuts, and seeds vegetables and fruits on daily basis.Cleans, cuts, and grinds meats, poultry, and seafood if necessary.Dips food items in crumbs, flour, and batter to bread them.Stirs and strains soups and sauces.Weighs and measures designated ingredients.Carries pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, stove, and refrigerator.Stores foods in designated areas.Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils, segregates and removes garbage.Distributes supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.Carves various cooked meats.Assists in quality control of items.Sets up buffet presentations.Serves tables and takes ordersBe Familiar with all coffee, tea, beer, wine and distilled spirits knowledge and be capable to provide excellent beverage service to guests.Coordinates with Sales Department and follow up on the Food Beverage request and meeting room setup in BEO. Makes sure to provide satisfied service to meeting planners and meeting guests.Coordinates with suppliers or contractors to ensures the daily maintenance and monthly deep cleaning of all kitchen equipmentsPrepare meals for Employee Restaurants on daily basis.Always comply with FIFO (first in/first out) process of Food Beverage.Enters orders in the Point of Sales System immediately upon taking the order to ensure items are prepared in a timely fashion.Personnel
