JOB TITLE: Commissioning Agent – Electrical LOCATION: Sunnyvale, CA iParametrics is partnering with a leading construction firm known for its excellence in managing complex projects across diverse sectors. We are currently seeking a Commissioning Agent specializing in Electrical systems to oversee the commissioning process, ensuring that all electrical components meet high standards of functionality and safety. JOB DESCRIPTION The Commissioning Agent - Electrical will be a critical member of the Operations department, reporting to the Project Management team. This role involves coordinating and managing the commissioning process for electrical systems, ensuring they are operational, compliant with specifications, and integrated seamlessly into the overall project. The Commissioning Agent will handle on-site quality control, support startup preparations, and address any electrical-related issues that arise during the commissioning phase. RESPONSIBILITIES + Oversee the commissioning process for electrical systems, ensuring they are fully operational and meet all project specifications and safety standards. + Coordinate with electrical trade managers and subcontractors to facilitate the startup and integration of electrical systems. + Conduct detailed reviews of project submittal information to ensure accuracy, functionality, and compliance with electrical specifications. + Organize and lead training sessions for clients' personnel on the operation and maintenance of electrical systems and components. + Act as the technical advisor on-site for all electrical matters, providing guidance and resolving any issues related to electrical systems. + Manage the commissioning quality control efforts, including conducting inspections and ensuring all safety precautions are in place before system operation. + Assist with the preparation and distribution of Requests for Information (RFIs) and change documents related to electrical systems. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS + Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience. + Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction with a focus on electrical systems and commissioning. + Strong knowledge of electrical systems, commissioning processes, and related safety standards. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and project management software (e.g., Prolog, Procore, Bluebeam). + Experience with design software such as AutoCAD and Revit. + Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. + Ability to work collaboratively with various teams and manage technical data accurately. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS + Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification. + Experience with high-tech or industrial projects involving complex electrical systems. + Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant standards.
