JOB TITLE: Commissioning Agent – Process (High Purity, Bulk Gas, Specialty Chemical) LOCATION: Sunnyvale, CA iParametrics, in partnership with a leading construction firm, is seeking a Commissioning Agent with expertise in Process systems, including High Purity, Bulk Gas, and Specialty Chemical systems. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful commissioning and operational readiness of critical process systems within complex projects, maintaining the highest standards of performance, safety, and compliance. JOB DESCRIPTION The Process Commissioning Agent will play a vital role within the Operations department, reporting to the Project Management team. This position is responsible for overseeing the commissioning of high purity, bulk gas, and specialty chemical systems, ensuring they meet all project specifications, safety standards, and operational requirements. The Commissioning Agent will lead on-site quality control efforts, manage startup preparations, and address any issues related to process systems during commissioning. RESPONSIBILITIES + Oversee the commissioning of process systems including high purity, bulk gas, and specialty chemical systems, ensuring they are operational, compliant with project specifications, and integrated effectively into the overall project infrastructure. + Collaborate with process system managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to support the startup and integration of these systems. + Review and verify project submittals and technical documentation related to process systems for accuracy and functionality. + Facilitate training for clients' personnel on the operation, maintenance, and safety protocols of process systems. + Act as the on-site technical advisor for process systems, providing expert guidance and troubleshooting any issues related to high purity, bulk gas, and specialty chemical systems. + Manage quality control during the commissioning phase, including inspections and ensuring that all safety precautions are observed before system operation. + Address and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and change documents related to process systems. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS + Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience. + Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction with a focus on commissioning process systems, specifically high purity, bulk gas, and specialty chemical systems. + Strong understanding of process systems, commissioning procedures, and relevant safety and regulatory standards. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and project management software (e.g., Prolog, Procore, Bluebeam). + Experience with design and technical software such as AutoCAD and Revit. + Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. + Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and maintain accurate technical documentation. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS + Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification. + Experience with high-tech or industrial projects involving complex mechanical systems. + Knowledge of relevant codes and standards specific to process systems and chemical handling.
