As part of our continuous improvement of LAWnB and Korea market growth, we are planning to intensify our original content. We are therefore looking to recruit legal experts with extensive commissioning experience in the legal fields in Seoul, Korea.

About the Role

In this opportunity as Commissioning Editor, you will:

Research Korea legal market to identify contributors/authors for substantive new product development of Annotated Commentary and Practical legal content.Target a 12-month commissioning program to launch new content launches for LAWnB Edge over the next 3 years.Contract and manage timely manuscript delivery, provide oversight to third party editing, and liaise internally on product set-up and pathway management to launch content on LAWnB and LAWnB Edge.Build and nurture a diverse, collaborative, high performing and engaged author pool engaged with to optimize new product delivery and to optimize new product development opportunities. Be accountable for identifying LAWnB/ONJU/Guidance content opportunities for LAWnB and LAWnB Edge.Prepare and execute on NPD Business Cases plans to meet product, revenue, and EBITDA goals for Korea Content product extensions.Validate, test, and verify legal content and editorial for LAWnB and LAWnB Edge.Be accountable for Thomson Reuters achieving annual gross sales, retention, net sales/book of business and revenue targets for new Annotated Legislation products.Meets with key clients, channel partners and industry groups to develop deep knowledge of the market and customer needs.

About You

You’re a fit for the role of Commissioning Editor if your background includes:

Proven track-record in New Product Development ideally within the Legal industry.Skilled at commercial brand management and delivery to high growth revenue targets.Highly entrepreneurial with excellent problem-solving to achieve win-win outcomes.An outside-in focus: Outstanding end-customer relationship skills.Over 5 years’ experience in managing relationships with a range of teams with publishing, editorial, content and operational expertise. Legal major is preferred.Strong collaboration, teamwork and relationship building skills across multiple levels and functions.
