Job Title: Commissioning EngineerJob Description We are seeking a degreed Commissioning Engineer with over 5 years of experience. This role involves site visits, load calculations, and a combination of technical and project management responsibilities for retro-commissioning projects. You will oversee all aspects of projects including technical work, scheduling, budget management, and client relationship management. You will manage the planning, investigation, and implementation phases of commissioning projects. Candidates must have one of the following certifications: ACG, CXA, BXA, ASHRAE, EXB. Essential Skills + Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar. + 5+ years of industry experience with HVAC/Sustainability Commissioning, Retro-Commissioning, and/or MEP Design. + Dedicated interest in facility energy systems, energy efficiency, operations & maintenance, and sustainable practices for new and existing buildings. + Familiarity with typical mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems in commercial and industrial facilities. + Experience in functional testing of HVAC equipment, systems, and controls. + Experience in performing commercial lighting audits. + Experience with building automation systems and understanding. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Certifications: ACG, CXA, BXA, ASHRAE, EXB. Work Environment This role involves being on the road in the DMV area or working in the office near Annapolis, MD. Some out-of-state travel and overnight travel are required.
