As a Mobile Automation Commissioning Engineer with KION North America you will be the technical, on-site lead for automated guided forklift (AGF) projects. You will be an essential member of the project engineering team with a focus on integration of automated material handling equipment systems. Your focus will be on the AGFs, their performance, and their interactions with racking, conveyor, system I/O and system software. Internally, you will support the project manager, the systems engineer, onboard and offboard software engineers, and the mechatronics engineers/technicians. Externally, you will further develop and maintain relationships with the Customer project team as their technical, on-site integration contact during the execution/commissioning phases of projects.

Work with engineering leads on technical design, development, application and implementation of integrated hardware and software systemsIdentify and resolves complex problems through application of problem-solving skills in AGF projects/systemsParticipate in the testing of complex stand-alone and integrated AGF systems (hardware and software)Review and utilize project/vehicle/hardware specifications and documentationUtilize AutoCAD with custom drafting tools for designing and refining system maps/layoutsWork with Customers on Full System Approval, and AcceptanceCollaborate with vendor and sub-contractorsGenerate commissioning checklists and provide daily/weekly site reportsPerform duration testing and generate/compile reportsAid Project Management in Commissioning Plans and SchedulesSupport site personnel in system Startup and Go-Live activitiesDevelop strong customer relationshipsCollaborate on process and productivity improvements, cost reductions, and delivery of customer satisfactionOther tasks as assigned by manager

Education:

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, or related field
