The ethics@mcdermott.com email will not accept any resumes. **Job Overview:** Responsible to support the Commissioning Manager in the planning and execution of a safe and efficient Pre-commissioning, Commissioning, Start-up and Performance Testing of the facility to achieve the plant’s production and performance objectives and McDermott’s (MDR’s) contractual objectives. Also responsible for the administration of all materials and personnel under the Superintendent supervision, located within the facility to deliver a safe working environment. **Key Tasks and Responsibilities:** + Work collaboratively within the Project team and with Client to maintain positive relationships. + Supervises the development of Commissioning home office deliverables on Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects. + Participates in the development of systemization and system boundary mark-ups. + Participates in engineering design reviews as assigned by the Commissioning Manager including HAZOP, P&ID’s, SIL and Model Reviews. + Participates in the development of commissioning activity schedules for pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up. + Supervises the development of operating manuals. + Supervises the development of pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up procedures for utility and process systems. + Supervises the development of commissioning & start-up spares, subcontracts, consumables, temporary equipment and vendor services. + Interfaces heavily with the completions team, construction and Client’s personnel regarding all aspects of site commissioning inspections and testing for pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities. + Supervises the assigned commissioning team personnel, subcontractors and Client’s personnel in the execution of pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities in a safe, efficient and successful manner. + Works closely with the Construction group for mechanical completion inspections and accepting the completed systems as deemed ready for pre-commissioning. + Participates in the Completion walk downs, punch-list development and clearing of punch-list items by the Construction group or the subcontractor. + Provides input to the “lesson learned” database. + Mentor younger members of the Site Commissioning Team. **Essential Qualifications & Education:** + Knowledge of the OPERCOM methodology on a large oil & gas project is essential. + Must have a minimal of 10 years’ experience on EPC projects in a supervisory position or higher within the commissioning group. + Must have pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up experience on at least 5 major EPC projects in the Oil & Gas Industry. + Demonstrates a broad technical knowledge of construction and completion activities. + Able to effectively communicate technical solutions and concepts to other engineers and non-engineers. + Must have strong English communications skills, both oral and written. + Must have excellent computer software skills in MS Office suite as a minimum. + Must have good Presentation skills for meetings with Project Management and Client. + Must have effective communication skills, able to establish confident relationships with discipline managers, technical engineers and non-engineers. + Must have excellent organizational skills and be adaptable to various needs of various discipline groups. + Ideally possess an engineering degree (or equivalent) in Chemical or Mechanical Enginnering. + Preferably has conducted awareness training in Hazardous Area, Fire Fighting and Emergency Response. \#LI-JS1 Our ingenuity fuels daily life.
