The opportunity
The Commissioning Manager delivers optimal project outcomes (time, cost, quality, safety) across capital water infrastructure including valves, hydrants, water pump stations, network renewals and water main replacements.
Our team is at the forefront of a diverse range of civil construction initiatives, including water and wastewater treatment plants, expansive water and wastewater networks, critical asset renewal projects, and flagship sustainable energy and utilities projects covering the Morten Bay and Sunshine Cost region.
What you’ll do
Lead the commissioning phase of projects, ensuring alignment with the overall project schedule and budget.Establish and maintain good working relationships with the Design team to provide critical commissioning input to the design of assets to ensure their commissionabilityAssist in the identification of potentially hazardous site activities and ensure appropriate procedures and controls are implemented through Site Hazardous Condition ReportsPrepare, maintain and report on progress against schedules for the commissioning and handover phases of projectsOversee and ensure proper testing and validation of systems and equipment according to specifications and regulatory standards.Coordinate the final handover of commissioned systems to operations team.

What we’re looking for
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Professional certifications in commissioning preferred but not essentialLeadership qualifications (Frontline Management or the like) highly regardedProven experience (typically 5+ years) in commissioning management, preferably within the water industry.Strong knowledge of commissioning processes, systems, and equipment.Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.In-depth understanding of safety legislation, in particular WHS compliance requirements.Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively
