Job Title: Commissioning Manager
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Commissioning Manager who will adhere to and promote company and site safety policies, assuming an active role in all site safety activities. The ideal candidate will lead the review of contractual specifications, manage coordination with Client operations and commissioning staff, and oversee the budget for pre-commissioning and commissioning. This role requires the development and implementation of commissioning plans and supervision of the pre-commissioning schedule.

ResponsibilitiesAdhere to and promote company and site safety policies, actively participating in all site safety activities.Lead the review of contractual specifications for completion and pre-commissioning requirements.Manage coordination of activities and direct engagement with Client operations and commissioning staff.Engage and manage coordination with the Client’s DCS contractor.Control and forecast the budget for pre-commissioning and commissioning, including specialty subcontractors, training, and chemicals.Develop a strong understanding of the prime contract and project procedures, ensuring implementation and development of additional procedures as necessary.Manage all aspects of the pre-commissioning schedule, including specialty subcontract and vendor training.Supervise tracking, reporting, and turnover documentation, ensuring field teams implement tools according to specifications.Lead the review, planning, and communication of vendor requirements with personnel performing commissioning efforts on client projects.Lead the development and implementation of commissioning plans.Oversee implementation by the pre-commissioning team during completion and commissioning activities.Support constructability reviews.Lead accept/reject verifications of construction status and completion on equipment.Lead inspection of installed devices, setup coordination, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases, addressing problems and routine equipment and device requirements.Ensure proper documentation of activities is maintained to support record-keeping and reporting requirements, including turnover documentation.Lead area commissioning managers and pre-commissioning personnel in activities required by the Completions and Commissioning department.Lead projects for Completions and Commissioning, including proposal support.Ensure understanding of various testing equipment operation processes and procedures, as well as logical controllers and field control systems (PLCs) integrated in startup procedures.Perform other duties as assigned.Comply with all policies and standards.Essential SkillsCommissioningConstruction managementCompletionsSteam generationWater treatmentCompressed air systemsProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteProficient in Bluebeam and cloud-based softwareAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma/GED and 11 years of Completions and/or Commissioning experience, orAssociate Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, Construction Management, or relevant field and 9 years of Completions and/or Commissioning experience, orBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, Construction Management, or relevant field and 7 years of Completions and/or Commissioning experienceExperience with systems such as steam generation/boilers, condensate treatment, air compressors/compressed air systems, cooling towers, water treatment, wastewater treatment, chemical loading & storage, bulk material handling, flares, firewater, HV and LV power distribution systems, and telecommunications.Preferred experience with pellet conveying & loadout, railcar wash/dry/de-heeling facilities, catalyst activation, ground flares, buildings and building systems.Work Environment

The work environment is dynamic, involving coordination with various teams and vendors. You will use advanced technologies and equipment, including logical controllers and field control systems (PLCs), to ensure successful commissioning processes. The role may require fieldwork, ensuring devices and equipment are properly installed, tested, and commissioned. The dress code is business casual, and safety attire must be worn when on-site.
