Commissioning Project Manager – Data Centres – Finland

 

Our client is an established main contractor working across Europe specialising in the delivery of Data Centre construction projects on behalf of global blue-chip clients. They offer a full turnkey service for their clients from design, construction and handover across the full range of CSA (civil, structural, architectural), MEP (mechanical and electrical) and commissioning works 

The need now exists for an experienced Commissioning Project Manager to join the team working on a Hyper-Scale Data Centre new build scheme in Finland.

 

Responsibilities

 

Commissioning Planning and Scheduling:

Develop and implement a comprehensive commissioning plan for all systems in the data centre, ensuring all electrical, mechanical, and IT systems are tested and validated before handover. Create a detailed commissioning schedule, integrating it into the overall project timeline, and ensuring deadlines are met.

Coordinating Commissioning Activities:

Manage and coordinate the commissioning process across multiple systems and stakeholders, ensuring smooth integration of all systems such as power, cooling, fire protection, security, and IT infrastructure. Ensure all teams are aligned and working toward project goals.

Monitoring and Reporting Progress:

Track and monitor commissioning progress, identifying potential delays or issues early in the process. Regularly report to senior management, clients, and stakeholders on the status of commissioning activities, highlighting any deviations from the schedule or budget.

Risk and Issue Management:

Proactively identify and assess potential risks and issues during the commissioning phase. Develop mitigation plans for identified risks, resolve issues swiftly, and keep all parties informed of the impact on the project timeline and budget.

Quality Control and Compliance:

Ensure all commissioning activities comply with project specifications, industry standards, and local regulations. Oversee quality control measures, ensuring that all systems meet the required performance standards and operate as intended before final handover.

Final Handover and Client Approval:

Lead the final commissioning documentation and handover process, ensuring that all testing, validation, and regulatory requirements are met. Coordinate with the client and other stakeholders to ensure that all systems are operational and receive client approval before formal project completion.

 

Requirements

5+ Years experience in Commissioning Leadership roles required

5+ Years experience on Data Centres or similar Large-Construction projects required

Must have EU Passport or Right-To-Work
