Purpose

Plan and prepare the  commissioning procedures and scope of work in readiness to commence on site commissioning activities

Responsibilities

·        Develop commissioning and completions strategies and documentation. ·        Ensure all applicable project safety procedures are prepared and fully understood and implemented ·        Liaise with the project HS & E group to ensure that all personnel have been adequately trained. ·        Manage and supervise offshore commissioning and associated activities according the plan. ·        Identify and develop handover procedures. ·        Ensure project quality requirements are met. ·        Identify commissioning priorities and manage the interfaces between mechanical completion. ·        Work closely with planners in the development and identification of the offshore critical paths. ·        Estimate and establish manpower requirements for the offshore work. ·        Working closely with the construction group/planning group to monitor the tail end of onshore construction ·        Monitoring and reporting of progress of the engineering and construction work scope. ·        Preparation of weekly and monthly management reports ·        Identify and mitigate risks. ·        Provide assistance with, and input to, the development of the completions system and processes. ·        Identify specialist training requirements and develop training plan. ·        Provide support to the procurement group in reviewing vendor information and assessing related aspects. · Identify all vendors required for the commissioning and organise the vendor plan *

Technical and Industry Experience

Experience in the Construction, or similar, industry with international EPC contractors. A proven track record and demonstrable success in the management of HSE. Strong understanding of construction and completions site HSE requirements Good appreciation of quality management, materials control and contractual issues. Able to understand and review engineering / construction drawings. Able to develop good working relationships at all levels from field to management Experienced at working in a multicultural workforce environment. Experience in the oil/gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, offshore, or infrastructure industries Relevant experience in construction engineering on large projects. Plans, coordinates, and directs the construction work and Construction Subcontractor to meet all construction milestone dates. Prepares the construction plan to ensure the efficiency, quality, safety, and performance of construction to meet project objectives. Must have thorough knowledge of construction practices, economic principles, international codes and standards, procedures, and specifications.
