Job Description

1. Supplier management

- Supplier Mentorship for CN suppliers

- Planning and ensuring supplier capacity

- Supplier monitoring and identification of risks within supply chain - Price analysis and price  

  benchmarking (based on strategy definition)

- supplier assessment and evaluation (Tool: DSC)

- Supplier decision preparation and documentation (Tool: COQ)

- Setup & update of supplier master data in SAP system and SRM

2. Strategy development

- support global lead buyer in global material field and supplier strategy development

- support development and implementation of material field strategy

- creation and update of strategy for dedicated similarity classes

- preparation and participation strategy meetings

3. Price negotiation and contract management

based on mentorship definition:

- Demand analysis and RFQ preparation and execution

- support preparation of negotiation/advantage design and execution of defined negotiations of purchasing agreements and price contracts (within global buyer’s network)

- update SAP system

4. Project management

- Purchasing project management: support release of suppliers and products, secure ramp up /    launch of new products or transfers of business

- Systematic market screening and supplier search
- Create analysis of quotation and strategic supplier selection
- Conduction of supplier evaluation

- Generate and evaluate ideas for cost savings projects (RPP)

5. Reporting and administration

- Regular update on price development (YTD reporting)

- Regular update of supplier status

- Regular update of project status

- Business planning for dedicated similarity classes

6. Organization Related Processes

- Co-ordination of tasks with other functions (MKT, PUQ, LOx)

- support global lead buyer

- Support logistic in case of vendor backlog

- Support PUQ to ensure stable quality and for negotiation of cost claims
- Support cost and consolidation projects

 

Qualifications

1. Education

Degree in business administration / supply Chain Management or Engineering

2. Work Experience - Must Have

- initial experience in International Purchasing or supply chain management role within a multi-national company

o Priority No. 1: Automotive Aftermarket Industry / trade goods

o Priority No. 2: Automotive Industry

o Priority No. 3: Other Industry (consumer goods)

Work Experience - Should Have

- Experience Purchasing, supplier management & price negotiation.

- Working knowledge of contracts, production process & material costing

- Preferred with international Exposure

- Experience as a buyer for technical products, project management

Work Experience - Perfect Match

- Purchaser of an Automotive Aftermarket Division within an international company / competitor (or Bosch)

- Purchasing experience in brake components

3. Languages

- Mandatory: Proficient oral- and written communication in English, able to lead negotiations in English

- Good to have: proficient oral- and written communication in German
