What You Will Do:

Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies to support goals established by supply chain management, such as: TCO, OTD, PPM, and DPO  Manage supply base performance by utilizing strategic benchmarking, spend consolidation, annual negotiations, on-site kaizen workshops, VA/VE projects, or other methods that drive improvements in defined KPIs.   Engage the experience of cross-functional teams to identify and eliminate waste in the supply chain: improve product design requirements, streamline processing, make-vs-buy value analysis, Platformization, risk assessment and mitigation, etc.    Navigate a challenging and complex global operations environment to meet the demanding needs of Factory Managers, Manufacturing & Design Engineers, Materials, Finance & Accounting, and Product Managers.

 

Qualifications You Will Need (required):

Strong knowledge of the overall supply chain from the suppliers’ raw materials to the end product, including key drivers of quality, delivery, cost, lead times, and risk factors.  Broad knowledge of mechanical parts manufacturing processes, including machining, progressive die stamping, surface finishing, sheet metal forming, injection molding, and assembly Ability to translate mechanical drawing requirements to global best manufacturing processes and practices  5-8 years of supply chain or operations experience in a manufacturing environment. Negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills Good organization, project management and follow-through skills Occasional travel to global and local vendor locations as required

 

Preferred Experiences: 

Low volume, high mix procurement experience Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or other relevant discipline Experience using lean methodology processes in a manufacturing environment is a plus Experience in a low volume and high mix production environment Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and Oracle experience preferred
