Commodity Manager

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Execution of NBU Management Strategy:
Negotiate strategic multi-site PO placements to generate fleet procurement effects and mitigate risks.
Actively engage key collaborators in the development and execution of supplier management plans and procurement activities to ensure alignment and success.
Represent and actively support procurement sites by driving New Product Developments and implementing effective E-Sourcing initiatives.
Collaborate with strategic suppliers to develop innovative sourcing strategies that effectively optimize cost positions and enhance procurement efficiency.

Supply Chain Set-Up:
Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with strategic ITNS suppliers to ensure nuclear safety and supply chain reliability.
Establish contracts, MOU’s, teaming agreements, and NDA’s or equivalent experience with our key supplier panel in China.
Monitor supplier performance closely by using scorecards that track performance in areas like Timely Delivery (TD), Margin Lift-up, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR).
Perform risk assessments to mitigate disruptions in the supply chain, ensuring design verification aligns with supplier capabilities.
Drive improvement projects with key suppliers, ensuring accurate project start for materials and documents.

Supplier Development & Performance Improvement:
Improve a nuclear safety culture, emphasizing quality, qualification, lead-time, timely delivery, and risk management.
Strengthen relationships with strategic suppliers, frame agreements, stocking programs, and lead-time reduction initiatives.
Ensure suppliers are capable of serving the nuclear industry, adhering to applicable Codes and Standards in China and Europe.

KOB1 Mega Project:
Proposal Phase:
Contribute to defining the best sourcing strategy for new projects, closely engaging with the proposal department and Project Management Teams.
Support the development of project costing models and procurement budgets while proactively implementing strategies to mitigate the impact of inflation.
Execution Phase:
Support project sites by expediting critical tasks and providing clear, actionable technical clarifications to ensure seamless execution.

For This Role, You Will Need:

Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent qualification, and several years of professional experience in commodity management.

Proven experience in large project procurement negotiations, including terms and conditions, and an international approach with the capability to act on a local scale.

Knowledge of quality, problem-solving, and continuous improvement, alongside project management skills.

Familiarity with casting, forging, machining, welding, testing processes, and nuclear codes (RCCM, ASME, etc.).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).

Proficient in English, both verbal and written communication.

Willingness to travel 30% (AP).

Engaged in nuclear supply chain management or other nuclear-related work
