Position Summary

The Commodity Manger will be responsible for establishing contracts and ensuring the cost effective supply of a commodity category or group of commodities. The incumbent will have full responsibility for his/her commodities and will report into the Purchasing Director who will be responsible for the entire department spend. Within the context of the supply, the incumbent will work to drive the strategic sourcing objectives. The position will also interact with numerous functions within the business.

Responsibilities Interfaces with broad ranges of stakeholders to help identify and analyze opportunities for driving value, reducing costs, and consolidating the supply baseProvides analysis on complex and ambiguous data and presents findings to upper managementActs as an internal change agent to align employees with the strategic visionIdentifies systemic issues and continually improves processesNegotiates and executes contract agreements that align to the organization and stake holders goals.Identifies, communicates and executes on projects to create value and drive down cost across the organizationPerforms sourcing administrative functions such as having Non-Disclosure Agreements, contracts etc. executed by appropriate partiesUpholds the Crawford Code of Conduct Requirements 4 year degree from accredited university requiredMBA preferred4 year’s experience required in a purchasing and/or purchasing-related roleProject management skills, training or related experienceProficiency in Microsoft OfficeStrong technical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated skills/behaviors working in a team environmentAbility to influence peers and lead cross-functional teamsDemonstrated problem solving methodsSelf-starter, possessing high degree of self-motivation and bias for actionExperience or understanding of ERP systemsSubject matter expert in one of the following commodity areas:ITTravelFacilitiesFleet ManagementInterface with a broad range of stakeholders to help identify and analyze opportunities for driving value, reducing costs, and consolidating the supply baseProvide analysis on complex and ambiguous data and present findings to upper managementAct as an internal change agent to align employees with the strategic visionIdentify systemic issues and continually improve processesNegotiate and execute contract agreements that align to the organization and stake holders goals.Identify-communicate and execute on projects to create value and driove down cost across the organizationPerform sourcing administrative functions such as having Non-Disclosure Agreements, contracts etc. executed by appropriate parties About Us Why Crawford?
